We miss you, Mountains!

We had the privilege of spending 2 weeks in Colorado and Wyoming with family and beautiful weather. SO, today with 95 degrees and high humidity it reminded me how much I miss Colorado ....and the family there! Thank you Kerry, Erin, Gabe, Otto and Zeke for good times. Miss you!

It was hot today - and is supposed to be 100+ tomorrow and Sunday. Alex is enjoying the cooler night at the Jackson County Relay for Life and the kids and I are watching Bear In The Big Blue House in air condition getting ready for bed. He'll get some sleep tomorrow.

I Love You - 35 year old!

We celebrated with Angel food cake and strawberries (his ultimate favorite) last night, since we would be driving home tonight. As I was cutting strawberries - this very unique Siamese strawberry was the last in the carton.

Ride?

We are back at the farm while Alex is in Emporia taking a class at ESU. Elisa continues to ask Papa for "rides"....she enjoyed the ride in the "boncime" (combine) last week and has gotten her share of rides on various moving things around the farm this summer.....

Harvest

Harvest 2009 has started and ended...that fast! We were home (Goessel) last week while Alex worked for his brother-in-law and Katina attended Bible School at KHC. Dad took off work to harvest and of course the kids wanted to ride with Papa in the combine. So, we took turns watching the wheat come in!
